Is It Important to Promote Your Blog Post?

A lot of people who blog online always forgot to do this step. But you know, according to my experience, this step is not just an ordinary step, but an IMPORTANT one! Some of them are expecting that blog traffic or the visitors will automatically just appear out of somewhere. But it is definitely impossible. So the question now is "how to promote you blog post?"

There are several ways to promote it. In my experience, I learned that there are really several ways to do it.

For example, why not tell your friends about your blog/blog post? I'm sure that if you post something interesting, they will surely read or comment into it. Sometimes, I put a link of my post on shoutboxes on IM. As a result of that, others may click on them and be your site visitors.

Also, there are a lot of social bookmarking sites out there where you can submit your posts. If you do have accounts on any forums, you can also link your post there. But make sure it is related to the thread or else you will be considered as spammers, so be careful. That's all for now, I think you'll be busy promoting your site to get a lot of visitors.
