If you're not yet familiar with Cheong Wa Dae (House of the Blue-Tiled Roof or the Blue House, Office of the President of the Republic of Korea), it is the executive office and official residence of the South Korean head of state, the President of the Republic of Korea. Its Korean name - Cheong Wa Dae, has the literal meaning "house of the blue roof tiles." Cheongwadae is in fact a complex of buildings, built largely in the traditional Korean style with some modern elements.
At present, Cheongwadae consists of the main chancery, the official presidential residence, Yeongbin-gwan (영빈관, 迎賓館) or the State Guest House, the Chunchugwan (춘추관, 春秋館) press hall, and secretariat buildings. The entire complex covers 76,685 pyeong (about 250,000 m²). Got it?
During the last week of August, my bestfriend went to Seoul, South Korea to visit the President of the Republic. Joke! LOL! Honestly, she went there for a very important reason. She's the one who shot all of those photos below. She just gave me the permission to post those images here on our blog under my copyright. Hehehe. I also added a few description based on her story. Just click on the image to enlarge it. :)
This one is the view outside the Blue House. Obviously, you will see a mountain. LOL!

This next picture was still inside the Cheong Wa Dae compound. We can notice that old China and Japan's building design is very similar to the Korean's.

But before that, here is the entrance gate. Hehehe.

On the other hand, here are some symbolic monuments. The highest one is the monument of the Phoenix.

While walking, these flowers will catch your attention due to their very nice and sweet odor.

After walking around, taking photographs and enjoying the views, I think purchasing some souvenirs for friends in the Philippines would be a very GOOD idea. Hehehe. (I got a t-shirt! Thanks!)

OK, that's all for the Cheong Wa Dae or Cheongwadae or Blue House trip. Hope you enjoyed the Blue House photos and images I posted. Here in the front of my PC, I am hoping that I can visit Korea soon! Hehehe. How about you? Are you planing to visit South Korea too?
