Almost two months ago, this blog experienced a massive traffic downfall from more than 3000 visits per day to just 98 visits per day. Ouch! It greatly affects my Adsense earning since visitors who clicked the ads become fewer. That thing makes me sad and I felt that blogging is not for me.
I asked some of the best bloggers here in the Philippines and they told me to just continue what you're going. Continue posting new articles and you will be back on Google SERP soon, that's what I do. They also suggested that I wait for 2 weeks or 2 months and my blog will be OK.
From October 22, 2009 to December 21, 2009, I'm felt very hopeless in this blog. But when I checked it yesterday, I saw a lot of visitors coming from Google and not from Yahoo! This is it! I thought my blog is not penalized anymore! A million thanks to Google!
Now that my Blog has recovered from a serious error, I'll be more cautious so that those kind of errors will not dump me again. And if you want to avoid those errors too, you can follow the steps below which I learned in this experience:
1. Avoid link spamming. Do not create so much links pointing to your site in a very short period of time.
2. Do not use repetitive keywords. Try using different anchor text for your links.
3. Do not entertain people who offers you this: "I will submit your links to different link directories and different social bookmarking sites for free. Just give our site a/some link(s) on your homepage." Sometimes, they do mass link submission and it endangers your blog.
Those are some of the steps that I think for this day. I will post another one if I encounter or learn some new tips soon. Just enjoy blogging while earning!
