Yehey! That's right! This time, Google updated their Pagerank system and my very fresh blog is affected. How come?
After 2 months of existence in the blogosphere, this blog has now have a PageRank of 2, in short it is PR2. Not bad for a newbie blogger like me. Hehehe. For proof and verification purposes, you can check this tool. On that site, you can notice that Rickspot.com is already having a PageRank of 2 on the data server of Google.
For me, PageRank is important because it shows how Google loves your blog or website. Hehehe. For those who are doing blog reviews, having a high PageRank means a lot of money. Yay! How about you? What is your Google PageRank story?
Yahoo! 360 is Closing Down! Who Cares?
"Yahoo! Inc. will be officially closing Yahoo! 360° on July 13, 2009." That was the theme of an email I received the last time I opened my email. Hehehe. Yes, Yahoo 360 is closing down, it is shuting down. Does it matter to you?
According to Yahoo! Profile Team, they will focus their efforts on making new profile on Yahoo! the place where you connect with the people who matter to you most.
Yay! So, that is their decision and we respect it. Well for me, the closing down of Yahoo! 360 is not that a big deal. Why did I say that? First, I am not a Yahoo! 360 user so I don't need to bother. Hehehe.
Of course, we thank Yahoo! especially for providing us a free email service and a whole lot of other services. But on my part, Google is starting to dominate on my heart and mind when it comes to features. From that, I can conclude that Google Adsense is still the best product of the Web, for me! Yay!

First of all, I would like to tell you that this blog is not a Twitter blog. Hehehe. I just love to blog about it because I'm so overwhelmed with the benefits Twitter has given me. Yay! Do you know that Twitter has its limitation?

Here is my own Twittersphere definition or meaning.Twittersphere is a collective term encompassing all Twitter users together with those they're following and their Twitter Followers. It is the perception that Twitter users together with those they're following and their Twitter Followers exist together as a connected community or as a collection of connected communities or as a social network.
Now, who doesn't know Twitter?
Also, some people think that Twitter is not that useful. "Answering to the question "what are you doing?" is not that cool at all," they said. Other may also ask, "how following other people's updates will help me since I didn't know them at all?" Yes you're right, most Twitter users are just telling others what they are doing on that time like, "I'm eating", "I'm chatting with friends", "I'm driving(while twittering? Lol!)", etc., etc. But aside from that purpose, we "cool" Twitter users use it in a more effective way. What way? I'll answer that on my future post.

Sotomayor | Our Internet Connection Gets Back to Normal
After almost 3 days of experiencing very slow internet connection, it gets back to normal again. Yay! Many thanks to my Internet Service Provider. Here in the Philippines, our ISP is Innove Communications, Inc. which is located in Makati City.
Starting on Sunday, I noticed that our connection is slowing down. I pinged rickspot.com using command prompt and it showed a lot of "Request timed out" notice. But that time, I hesitated to call the ISP's customer service. The next day is Monday and still, our internet connection is slow. It is so slow and it is really irritating but I still didn't call the customer service.
This day, I called the customer service and asked them about what's going on on my connection. He said that Innove is currently conducting system maintenance and will be back soon.
I waited some hours and it gets back to normal again! Thanks Innove again. That's the reason why I can now check the trends and add some Sotomayor keyword here. :)

So, students, including me are trying to figure out how we could access our beloved Myspace, Facebook or Friendster accounts that time. The solution is by searching for proxy sites.
There are many proxy sites around the web and I know that they are increasing in number till now. They provide a very good service since they can bypass the security against your beloved Myspace, Facebook and Friendster blocker!

A(H1N1) Virus | Swine Flu is Now in the Philippines
Department of Health confirmed that the country already has a case of the dreaded influenza A(H1N1) virus. The patient who is now quarantined, is a 10-year-old girl who arrived in the Philippines on May 18 from United States.
DOH assures that there is "no community level outbreak" of the disease.
According to the World Health Organization, the case of Swine Flu or the A(H1N1) virus in the world increased up to 11,034 while 85 of them died.

This night, I can now rest very well. I can now breath smoothly. I can now jump in joy. I can now shout gladly. I can now stop bothering. I can now blog freely! "What's going on to you?," you may ask.
Some of you may think that I overacted about the situation. But since this is my post, this is my blog this is my domain and I pay for it, I can do what I want here. Hehehe. Last time, I was so worried about the notification I'd received, telling me that my blog is a spam blog. (Ouch!) Since I am a newbie in blogging, I was so afraid that my blog will be deleted due to spamming(?). Yay!
But this time, I opened my Blogger Dashboard to check if the notification is still there or "do I need to create a new blog because this one is deleted?" (Praying that it will not going happen!) I was so surprised that they had checked my blog, verified that it is not a spam blog and lastly, removed the "terrifying" notification that they will delete my blog in 20 days! Huh! The notification is gone! Thank you so much!

Good news to all teachers in the Philippines! Good news for my mother, because she is a teacher! Hehehe. As stated in the title of this post, there will be a salary increase for DepEd teachers this year! Congratulations!
According to the report I've heard, DepEd Teachers will now receive an additional 60% salary increase from their regular salary. Yes, it is P6,500 a month within four years! Isn't that a good news for all?This increase is a join resolution of the the Congress committee on appropriations which overwhelmingly approved the proposal. Through this, the teachers is expecting salary increase starting July this year once approved by the president. [Source]

Two months into the 4-month campaign, we received reports from the provinces that Boto Mo, I-Patrol Mo helped level the playing field where incumbents were running after we ran a story with the cellphone picture of city resources used for campaigns. So cellphones became effective weapons!"

Violent Video Games are Harmful
How often do you play video games? Do you consider the genre or category of the game you are playing? Well, I ask these question because I know that you love playing video games just like most of the people around the world.
These years, a lot of game consoles are introduced to the public. PSP, Nintendo DS, and many other consoles are main attraction to kids and adult. As a result of this, games of different category evolve form time to time, including violent video games.
But do you know that, exposure to violent video games can desensitize individuals to real-life violence? Previous studies showed that exposure to such games (violent games), increases aggressive thoughts, angry feelings, physiological arousal and aggressive behaviors. Most kids nowadays act the same with what they saw on the games they played.
This study monitored the heart rate and emotional response of participants to filmed episodes of actual violence shown to them immediately after they had played either violent or nonviolent video games.
The results showed that those who play violent video games habituate or 'get used to' all the violence and eventually become physiologically numb to it.
Those surveys and studies are true. Some crimes here in our world are sometimes due to those violent games that feature killing and showing no mercy. Well, we don't want to be hooked on those and let our life be connected unto it. So, what should you do? Hmmm.
It is simple. Why not choose a friendlier game. Try playing puzzle game instead of fighting one, OK?

Naruto and Guren soon encounter a horde of mini Three-Tails that try to attack them, but they evade them and begin to argue about Yūkimaru. While Yūkimaru awakens, Naruto summons numerous Shadow Clones to look for a way out of the beast's stomach. Elsewhere, Kabuto gives Curse Marks to Rinji's men, ordering them to capture Yūkimaru.
